Hello, dear students. I have been working at Yalova University since 2009. Let me talk about our department. The Department of Business Administration was established in 2006 under Uludağ University before the establishment of our university and started education in English. It is subject to a mandatory preparation program for a year and a training period of 4 years. Our department is the most established department of our university, providing undergraduate education. There are 2 active programs in our department, including English Business Administration and Turkish Management departments. In addition, we have many programs at the graduate level. The Department of Business Administration has 34 faculty members. Elective courses are also separated into sub-sections. These sub-sections include production and operations management, financial management, accounting and auditing, management and organization, human resources, sales and marketing, logistics and supply chain management, corporate resource planning, entrepreneurship, procurement and digital development. In relation to these designated areas, students are given a certificate of expertise after graduation within the scope of elective courses taken from the 3rd year. As of 2019, we continue to provide the courses we have given in the Business Administration with computer software programs by transferring them to digital media. We have a large number of elective and applied courses for the department of business administration and the relative fields. Our sectoral specialization course is given to our students under the supervision of our expert teachers. We also have a research course for academic work or projects. We have a computer laboratory with a capacity of 45 people for the use of business students. In this laboratory, in addition to computation related knowledge, our students can also learn about the programs used in the sector. Our students can do internships within the scope of the optional internship directive of the Department of Business Administration. In addition, we send selected students who are successful in the applied education course to companies in the 8th semester.
As a part of academic collaborations, double diplomas, bilateral agreements and international student exchange program Erasmus, which we carry out with international universities operating around the world, our students can get to know different cultures and economic structures and take courses with visiting students who come to our department every year to receive education, and guest faculty members who come to provide education. In this way, we ensure that our students are educated internationally. We pave the way for our students to spend a certain period of their education abroad and gain experience from expert managers and successful entrepreneurs by establishing close ties with the business world. As the Department of Business Administration, we have an international business students congress that we organize regularly every year. With this congress, we prepare our business students for the academy. Since it is an international congress, our foreign students from abroad also participate and we ensure that they share knowledge and experience with them and make friends. With the advantage of graduating from The Department of English Business Administration, our graduates can work in international enterprises and also work in public institutions as well as the private sector. They can find jobs in finance, accounting and human resources in the private sector. In addition, they can establish their own businesses and also do freelance accounting and financial consultancy professions. Our students are ready to work as inspectors and supervisors. They work in these areas. They can also work in institutions such as the Central Bank, Undersecretariat of Treasury, Capital Market Board, Borsa İstanbul.
