Institute of Graduate Studies

I am Professor Şenay Yürür Karslıoğlu. I am a faculty member of the Department of Business Administration of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. I focus on management and organization. Yalova University Graduate Education Institute was established on February 6, 2021 with the merger of the Social Sciences and Natural Sciences Institutes established in 2008 alongside Yalova University. A total of 1,001 students, including 135 foreign nationals, are currently receiving postgraduate education at our institute, which has a total of 1264 graduates in science, including 1062 in the field of social sciences. Our institute, which began providing education with 8 programs in its first year, has 54 master's programs and 11 Doctoral programs in 22 majors today. The Graduate Education Institute, located on the central campus of our university on Çınarcık Road, has graduate education programs in the fields of social science, science and sports sciences, although it is new. Among the graduate programs of our institute in the field of science we have computer engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, chemical engineering, polymer material engineering, energy systems engineering, waste management, transportation and logistics engineering. In addition, there are interdisciplinary master's programs such as forensics and aquaculture. In the field of social sciences in the master's programs of our institute we have Economics, International Relations, Private Law, Public Law, Philosophy and Religious Sciences, International Financial Reporting and Auditing, International Trade and Finance, Social Service, Management in Social Service Institutions, sub-fields of business administration. We have master's programs in management, organization accounting and financing, production management and marketing. Among the PhD programs of our Institute are Polymer Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, as well as doctoral programs in the fields of social sciences such as Business Administration, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Philosophy and Religious Sciences, Social Service. Our graduates can continue their academic career and find employment opportunities in private or public sectors. Although it is a new university, Yalova University is a preferable university due to the quantity and quality of its academic staff and the diversity of our graduate programs. In addition, having the opportunity to work with our faculty members, many of whom have studied at universities abroad and taught at universities abroad, and carrying out thesis and project studies can be seen as an important advantage for our students. In addition, our students can improve their skills by attending academic development seminars organized by our institute or national or international congresses organized regularly by our university. Our university is quite advantageous as it is new and small. Here, students can stay in touch with faculty members. They can talk to them and learn from their experiences. There are no barriers between them. My most important recommendation to students who will choose our institute is to make their postgraduate education preferences in an informed manner. They should know what they are interested in, the areas they want to specialize in, and the interests they want to specialize in. For this, I recommend that they check out our programs, course contents and learn more about us. Our faculty members will help them to make more informed choices. If they know what they are getting into, they can make the best of it and contribute to themselves, the faculty and world.
